Program Director

JOB TITLE: Afterschool Program Director

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Education is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position being offered requires the employee to develop instructional materials, coordinate educational contents, and provide guidelines to contracting educators and instructors for developing curricula and conducting courses.
  • Supervise and observe work of teaching staffs to evaluate performance, and to recommend changes that could strengthen teaching skills.
  • Confer with school management and contracting instructors to coordinate curriculum materials to specific subjects, individual student needs references.
  • Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on curricula, instructional methods, and materials for our campus.
  • Conduct and participate in workshops, parent groups, and conferences designed to promote the intellectual, social, and physical welfare of students during their academic training on campus.
  • Advise teaching and administrative staff in school-offered curriculum development, use of materials and equipment, and implementation of teaching standards and procedures.
  • Organize production and design of various curriculum materials and teaching programs in collaboration with other instructors.
  • Recommend, order, or authorize purchase of instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and visual aids designed to meet student educational needs and standards in the youth education industry.
  • Interpret and implement education standards and rules for various educational programs promulgated by various educational advisory boards and entities.
  • Plan, design and administer various language, scientific and humanity educational curricula, lessons and other instructional materials according to the different levels, age-groups and backgrounds of students.
  • Confer with school administrators, contract instructors and testing specialists to ensure quality of education, and develop individualized educational tests and exams for students.
  • Conduct research and analyses on curriculum design, teaching methods and training arrangements regarding specific courses offered by the school.
  • Coordinate our teaching and learning activities among school management, students, parents, sponsors, and instructors for the purpose of achieving optimal teaching-learning results.
  • Plan, arrange and coordinate regular students activities for the local communities and various regional and national academic competitions in arts, math, science and language.

Mandarin Teacher

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create a Mandarin-immersion classroom environment that encourages students to explore, create and learn.
  • Organize fun games, songs and activities that both you and the students enjoy!
  • Prepare teaching and learning materials and teach classes based on ICEC Mandarin curriculum and regulations.
  • Have strong sense of responsibility;
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
  • Must be familiar with California Common Core Standards for Mandarin learning.
  • Must speak, read and write fluently Chinese.
  • Have experience working with students age from 6 to 10 or 12 to 18 years old.
